Kristen tells us that she’s over the moon about marrying BF Dax Shepard – and equally as excited to have a BFF going through the same thing!

What’s the best part about planning your wedding? Having a partner in crime, says Kristen Bell. The When in Rome starlet is super stoked that she and Forgetting Sarah Marshall co-star Russell Brand are tying the knot at the same time!

“I’m so happy for him, its nice when friends are going through the same thing,” the 29-year-old actress told HollywoodLife.com exclusively at Lexus’ Darker Side of Green event in LA July 8. “It makes things easier and much more fun. We have some good surprises, that’s all I really can say.”

Although Kristen wouldn’t delve into the surprises in store for her upcoming nuptials to BF Dax Shepard or Russell’s rumored fall commitment to singer Katy Perry, she was visibly excited at the prospect of marrying the love of her life. “How can you not be [excited]?” she wondered. “if you aren’t looking forward to it, then something would be wrong!” [source]

It looks like Kristen Bell is still enjoying her engagement to Dax Shepard.

At last night’s Loft fall preview party at Chateau Marmont, the actress admitted she’s done zero wedding planning.

“Not as of yet!” she told us when asked if she’s prepped at all for her walk down the aisle.

Kristen obviously isn’t one of those girls who’s been dreaming of marriage since she was a little girl…

The actress says she has no idea what kind of wedding she wants.

(Either that, or she’s really good at keeping tight-lipped about her nuptials.)

She did spill about some of her summer travel plans, though. Kristen said she’s heading to Cancun today—but not for a bachelorette party.

“It’s actually for a press conference of all things!” she laughed. “I have to go…it’s for work.”

Lucky girl. As for her Fourth of July plans, it sounds like she may be spending that with her fiancé.

“I think I’m going to Oregon to do some hiking,” she said. “That should be fun. [SOURCE]

Kristen Bell is reportedly in talks to join upcoming drama Whales.

The When In Rome star could join Drew Barrymore and John Krasinski in the Working Title/Universal project, says The Hollywood Reporter.

The movie tells the true story of the release of three California grey whales that were found trapped under the ice of the Arctic Circle in 1988.

The attempt to rescue the whales attracted journalists and environmentalists converging on the town of Barrow, Alaska.

Bell is eyeing the role of a Los Angeles reporter who thinks her looks are her greatest asset.

Ken Kwapis is directing the picture, which is based on the book Freeing the Whales: How the Media Created the World’s Greatest Non-Event by Tom Rose. [source]
